The Cabin

I built the cabin with hand tools only, using a mix of locally available balsam fir from Tumberland, and purchased sawn lumber. The no-power hand tools that were used to fell the trees and prepare them into a cabin structure: axe, saw, mallet, chisel, hammer, crowbar, drawknife, etc.

I did purchase a chainsaw after the cabin has been completed. The chainsaw now makes life so much easier, and I was able to produce lots of firewood with it.
